Summary.
The bill amends and adds articles to Law 75 of 2017, which promotes adequate nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. It adds Article 12-A, establishing mandatory teaching of nutrition and healthy eating in the first and second levels of education at public and private schools, as a cross-cutting subject and as a social protection strategy guaranteeing the human right to food. Through Article 12-B, it tasks the Ministry of Education with developing programs and activities on nutrition education that encourage habits to improve students' physical health. It also sets obligations for schools.
